The goal of this website is to give a voice to those who have gone before our family. Our ancestors are more than just names and dates, they were people with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors similar to us. This website is the work-in-progress of dozens of people, all whose lives intersect with the Allen and Butler line.
This website and all of the work it represents is dedicated to Norine Butler Allen, our mother, grandmother, and friend. To her, family history work is a spiritual activity that makes life purposeful. Purpose is found when we look beyond our insular selves and learn appreciation and love for those who have gone before us. We, without them, could not be. Only by learning of and remembering them are we suited to carry on their legacy.
